Medical disclaimer
FinalStat is a health and wellness app. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose and it does not replace a health professional.
What FinalStat is
FinalStat calculates an estimate of adult height from age, sex at birth, current height, weight if given, and the mother's and father's height if known. It also places a height within the percentile curves published for that age, and suggests a routine of sleep, posture and meal habits.
That is all it does. We have no health authorisation or certification, and we do not claim to have one. In the app stores FinalStat is declared as a health and wellness app, not as a medical device.
An estimate with a range, not a promise
FinalStat never shows a number on its own. Every estimated height appears with its range, on the same line and at the same size, because the range is the honest part of the result: 9 in 10 estimates fall within the range we show you.
The range widens when data is missing — without the weight, or without the height of one of the parents — and the app says so when it happens. Adult height depends on things no calculation sees: the full genetics, health, sleep, food and the timing of puberty. A likely range, not a promise.
Where the calculation comes from
The method is Khamis-Roche, published in 1994, which estimates adult height from the child's age, height and weight and the height of their parents. The percentiles come from the growth charts published by the United States CDC.
Habits protect growth; they do not increase it
No habit makes you taller. Sleeping well, moving and eating at regular times protect the growth your body already has under way, and that is the only thing the app says about them. Each habit you can add to your plan carries one of two labels: “Protects your growth” or “General health · doesn't change your height”.
FinalStat never offers you pills, supplements, hormones or exercises to grow, and never asks you to skip meals, count calories or lose weight.
What FinalStat does not do, and where it sends you to a professional
FinalStat is not a medical device, does not diagnose and has no health authorisation. It is not a missing feature: it is the limit of the product. These are the rules it is made with, and we state them here so that they can be held against us:
- The weekly AI analysis does not diagnose. It does not talk about weight, diets, calories, supplements or medicines, and it never promises centimetres. Each note goes through fixed rules and a second check before it is shown, and if it breaks one of these rules it is not shown. The one you do see carries the label “Written by AI” and says it is not medical advice.
- In the weekly analysis nothing is typed: the questions are chosen from a list and their answers are fixed texts that no AI writes. The same screen always leads to “When to see a paediatrician”.
- In parent mode, if the percentile drops a lot between two measurements, the app points it out as a precaution, never as an alarm, and always ends by inviting you to talk about it with their pediatrician.
- The report for the pediatrician has “Generated with FinalStat. Not a diagnosis.” printed on it.
